As Disney prepares to reimagine DinoLand U.S.A. at Animal Kingdom, I’ve been working to preserve parts of it through 3D modeling. My goal is to capture the land’s unique character, from its nostalgic set design to its playful, sometimes quirky details, so that this beloved corner of the park can continue to be explored and remembered long after it’s physically gone.
XWith changes on the horizon at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, I’ve taken on the task of digitally preserving Muppets Courtyard and MuppetVision 3D. Props like the Swinetrek have been hand modeled while statues from the courtyard fountain have been meticulously 3D scanned.
XIn my work digitizing theme park props, I focus on showcasing the attention to detail that often goes unnoticed but plays a vital role in building immersive worlds. From surface textures to subtle aging effects, every component of the prop carefully modeled and textured to honor the craftsmanship of the original. These “little things” are what give the parks their heart, and my goal is to ensure that even the smallest prop detail is represented with the same care and artistry as the larger show elements.
