Great Moments at the Movies

Before it became The Great Movie Ride, the attraction began as Great Moments at the Movies, originally envisioned as a pavilion for EPCOT Center. The concept grew so ambitious that it ultimately helped inspire the creation of an entirely new park, what we now know as Disney’s Hollywood Studios. One of the earliest ideas was an entrance sign designed by Imagineer John Dury, and as a tribute to this beloved attraction, I set out to bring that early vision to life.

Tomorrowland: trash can plaque

Among Tomorrowland’s many details, even its trash cans carried a story. Early designs featured a unique plaque that embodied the land’s sleek, optimistic vision of the future. Though easily overlooked by guests, this detail reflected Imagineering’s commitment to world-building at every scale. The plaque has become a collectable among disney fans for its stunning design.

Donald Duck Pull Toy

In 1936, Fisher Price developed a prototype Donald Duck pull toy, an early example of Disney’s character merchandising that never reached wide release. As part of my focus on historical preservation through digital design, I created a detailed 3D model of the toy, capturing both its craftsmanship and its place in Disney history. This recreation ensures that a rare piece of early Disney memorabilia can be appreciated and studied long after the original is lost to time.

Main Street: trash can plaque

The trash cans of Main Street, U.S.A. once featured a decorative plaque designed to complement the land’s early 20th-century style. Though a small detail, it represented the era’s craftsmanship and Disney’s effort to weave authenticity into the environment. I recreated the Main Street plaque in 3D as a form of preservation, highlighting an element of park design that often goes unnoticed but contributes to the land’s overall character.
